π We chose to to live Vanlife for the simple life. Not everyone gets why but our mums did and we've enjoyed having them nearby.
π They both did amazingly! We've cherished the time with them and they certainly know how to live life to the full. Living simply and surrounded by nature is our joy, and seeing our moms embrace it wholeheartedly has been priceless.
π We bid farewell for now with lovely memories made and hope they will come back again soon.
π We rolled on to Es Grau for lunch on the beach. It's one of the first places we parked at with Florry. Then there was not so many vans about, but over the last few years that's changed and its become popular here too but little structure in place for it so lots of complaints. We can see why when the car park is full of big motorhomes. We tried to park in spring and we turned straight around as too many in there and we knew this would lead to complaints.
π We always park up respectively but now we park more and more on friends land too.
β£οΈTonight back to our favourite spot on the road next to the sea where we can hear the crashing of the waves and feel at peace.
β£οΈ Love & Peace, Cat, Chris & Rolo ππΎππβ£οΈ

Es Grau is a really pretty traditional fisherman's village near Mahon with many locals also living there. The long beach is shaped as a shell and belongs to the Natural Park of SβAlbufera. It became a Natural Park by virtue of Decree in 1995 after years of local social efforts to protect the area.

This year in summer loads of complaints from residents as people used this car park as a campsite. Tables out and sitting out etc. It looked like a motorhome Aire.
Last spring one van emptied all its grey water on the floor just as we turned into the car park. We did a quick turn around and left as we don't want to be associated with this type of behaviour. The Costas are cracking down in spring and summer now and moving people on and fines too.
We've been motorhoming for over 25 years in UK and Europe and this is our home. We have a good reputation on the island and have know many locals for years and would hate for our reputation to be tarnished by what we see happening. Already friends who live here work here and lived for years in their vans are struggling with parking near where they work . It's got worse for everyone and the infrastructure isn't in place to take that in the tourists months hence we now have to stay away when it gets busy. We are lucky we have friends land we stay on and drives.

Today it was so quiet and only one van parked up but we decided to move on anyway. Hugs and sleep tight. πππ€ππππ€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€
